Position: Customs Clerk – Work From Home

Location:

• Albania . Applicants must be local or willing to relocate, as we are committed to building a team that is deeply integrated with the local business community and customs authorities.

Key Tasks – Customs Declaration for the UK Market

• Handling Imports Clearance: Oversee the import clearance process from start to finish, ensuring efficient and compliant processing of goods through customs.
• Import Clearance for All Transport Modes: Facilitate import clearance regardless of the mode of transport, including air, sea, and road.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with external suppliers, government bodies, and clients to ensure smooth operation and resolution of any issues that arise during the import/export process.
• Operational Management: Utilize our in-house system to operationally handle all import and export shipments, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
• Customer Service: Deliver high levels of customer service, addressing clients’ needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Support Functions: Assist in fostering commercial awareness within the team, support the management team in strategic decisions, and provide assistance to colleagues in other departments as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure that all customs procedures are followed accurately, maintaining compliance with UK and international customs regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

• Import Freight Procedures: Good understanding of import freight procedures.
• Deadline-Oriented: Ability to work to demanding deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Tech-Savvy: Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexibility: Flexible approach and attitude towards work.
• Teamwork and Initiative: Ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team.
• Educational Background: Sound educational background.
• Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills, including record-keeping.
• Problem-Solving: Problem-solving ability and the capacity to engage critical thinking skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English
